About Us

Connect Outdoors, Inc is headquartered in an Opportunity Zone at the East Tennessee State Innovation Lab in Johnson City, TN. The company was formed in April of 2019 and acquired the assets of its predecessor ConnectScale. ConnectScale started in 2015 and created a first of its kind bluetooth scale for the fishing industry.

Ben is a process oriented entrepreneur and professional with an analytical mindset and a passion for the outdoors. He holds a Business degree from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN and a MBA degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. He has a diverse background in Technology, Lean Six Sigma, Process Improvement, and Financial Analysis including 20+ years professional experience managing multiple large scale technology and product development projects. He has spent the last 10 years working as a consultant and tech program manager for a Fortune 30 company.   

W. Scott Morris - VP Tournament Operations - Co-Founder

W. Scott Morris is Vice President of Connect Outdoors Tournament Operations and brings 20 years of experience in IT and the outdoor industry. Scott grew up as a son of a manufactures representative and traveled around for several years to dealers, industry shows, and manufacturers and has established great relationships with many of the professionals that make up the hunting and fishing industry.
